4 Young architects freshly graduated from M. S. U. Baroda, sat by a roadside café, mulling over an idea of a team work for an ethical and innovative practice. All worked for a short period of time with stalwarts of ahmedabad. In 1993 they kick started a practice in the name of 'the associates'.

In1995,they moved out to their own office space and kept growing in many area of gujarat and rajasthan.

They went on to become Associated Architects India Pvt Ltd, shortly known as “aapl”

Aapl today has grown in to a institution by itself, which comprises of a strong in-house team of professionals, which includes 8 architects, 6 interior designers, and 22 support staff.

aapl has successfully completed approximately 1200 projects till date, and designed more than 300,00,000 sq.ft. In total. Currently aapl is handling approximately 120 projects of more than 60,00,000 sq.ft. on board and site.

Philosophy:

Our mantra at work is 'Associated Architects India Pvt Ltd'. We at aapl, evaluate each project according to its type, functional needs, budgets, size, aesthetic demands, inclination of user and other relevant parameters. We conceptualize each with references to climate, context, and location. This analysis is used to arrive appropriate design decisions & appropriate construction solution. Design development is done by series of massing and modeling at various stage of project progress until a completely satisfactory result is achieved. We have always been commuted to a fair ethical and transparent practice Right from the inception. This was one of the prime moral of getting together.

Design:

Design at aapl is a convergence of its philosophy and skills. Our convergent structural system brings together a team of professionals to a core of design excellence through layer of thought filtering at every level. We, through a channelized management system and a design philosophy arrive at an appropriate design solution with a refined process and professional skills.

Process:

At aapl, we adopt systematize working methodology from evolution to completion of a design solution. Directors and designers get involved in thrashing out of concepts. Discussion at various stages of projects help to improve and achieve an innovative appropriate design solution to the satisfaction of the client.

Well organized system and management of standardized drawings and detailing allows faster and effective execution.
